Shop Profile: Elite JDM

Elite JDM is a facility now based in Northeast Philadelphia tucked away in the Fox Chase/Lawncrest Area in a 24,000 sq. ft. warehouse. Specializing in importing JDM clips and parts, they are quickly becoming a sensation. Currently the largest JDM importer on the East Coast, and they aren't stopping at that. With all the importing they are already outgrowing their current location and are looking at expanding to an even larger location to include a full service installation and tuning shop.

Owner Nick D'Alessio has years of experience in the scene.

"Elite JDM came into existence because of my love of the Japanese Performance Industry. I started in Northeast Philadelphia as an aftermarket upgrade shop called "Impulse" back in 2001. I started selling parts in a 1,200 sq ft. facility then shortly after expanded to 3500sq. ft. facility installing the parts I sold. It was mainly intakes, exhausts, you know... bolt on accessories. Then it turned into engines swaps, custom turbo kits, intercooler piping and custom exhausts. I started doing so many JDM Engine Swaps, that it was hard to find a good reliable Importer. That was when I ventured into the Importing of Clips and Parts from Japan."

"Our specialty is top notch quality drive trains and rare JDM Parts. There are so many importers out there but none of them have the right Idea. Most are owned by people who know nothing about the industry, they are simply trying to make money. The problem is when you are dealing with used parts and engines, if you try to search the cheapest prices to reduce cost, you begin to sacrifice the quality of the parts you are selling. I buy my inventory as if I was the end user. I keep in mind that paying extra is well worth avoiding the headaches that are involved with installing a product that I will already need to make plans to replace again."

Unloading a container

Nick buys here, and flies over to Japan to inspect and dismantle the cars. I was on hand for the arrival of their second container scheduled to arrive that week. The guys had  received and expertly sorted a container just the day before. A rare red Prelude interior, and 5 sets of white ITR wheels stood out. A good amount of the merchandise has already been spoken for. Nick loves working with customers to find parts to bring over for them. Where else can you arrange to have an entire cars worth of parts brought over just for you?

BEAMS motors

Elite JDM selects the finest cars, and goes after the rarest parts. Browsing their inventory reveals a plethora of parts the average person could go their whole life without seeing. An active front spoiler from a JDM Supra. The rare CRX glasstop resting on limited edition leather seats. I did't know Subaru made bi-turbo motiors.....  My jaw drops at the stack of ITR front clips nestled near a row of SR20's.  It really is an experience visiting the warehouse.

Honda motors

All motors are guarenteed and tested. Some of the swaps even come with aftermarket upgrades. Nick stocks several performance parts as well to compliment any swap.
