How Icons Work

Tunericons is the only place on the web where you are rewarded for spending your free time here networking!  You earn ‘icons’ every time you post, upload or comment on something.  You know, the stuff you do all day long anyway. Once you start racking up your icons, you can trade them in for cool swag offered by our sponsors.  We are partnering with leading automotive companies to give away all sorts of stuff you want.  You can earn small things like air fresheners (to add that finishing touch to your sweet ride), bigger things like exhaust pipes or even hard cash!  The store will also stock unique items exclusive to TunerIcons! We know you already spend a lot of time browsing other car communities; we just want to reward you for doing it here.  If you are so inclined, read the small print below.

1. To participate, individuals age 16 and older may enroll at www.tunericons.com .  To enroll, a participant must click on the “Register Now” button and follow the onscreen instructions to create a Tunericons Member account. Participants will need a valid email address to register.  Once enrolled, the number of points earned by each member will be collected and tracked in their member account. 
2. Earning Icons  -  Icons may be earned through several different avenues:
3. Registering – earn 10 points for creating an account (limited to one account per user)
4. Referrals – earn 10 points for every friend who signs up and lists you as a referral.  Referees must create a valid account.
5. Forum Posting – earn 1 point for 10 forum posts you make  (spamming is discouraged)
6. Photo uploads – earn 5 points for every photo you upload on your profile
7. Video uploads – earn 20 points for every video you upload
8. Articles – earn 100 points for every article submitted and accepted by Tunericons for publication
9. Comments – earn 1 point for every 10 comments you leave for other members
10. Limited offers – Tunericons will periodically make limited offers available where member can earns extra points for completing tasks.  Details will be supplied at that time.

All comments and content is subject to moderation by Tunericons.  Discriminatory, inflammatory or sexual explicit posts will not be tolerated.  Violators will be removed from Tunericons.

Tunericons reserves the right to modify the number of Icons earned for each task at any time.

1. Transferring Icons

Icons may be ‘gifted’ to another member if so desired.   

1. Members are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their account and are encouraged to check their account regularly.  Please contact an administrator if you feel that your account is in error.
2. Redeeming Icons
3. To spend your icons, navigate through the items listed in the Icon Store to choose the item you desire.   You can choose any item still available for which you have accumulated sufficient points for redemption.  Once you have selected the item and followed the redemption process, you will receive a confirmation email.  Members are responsible for ensuring their account information is accurate and up to date.
4. All icon redemptions for products are final.  Refunds and exchanges are not allowed.
5. Tunericons reserves the right to modify the available items for redemption at any time.
